Healthcare and nursing continuing education joins WPDI

The change becomes effective for spring 2010 semester classes, which begins Jan. 19. Formerly called Allied Health, courses in Healthcare and Nursing Continuing Education will be administered by WPDI.

Students will receive the same quality programming as before, combined with the resources and customer service of the WPDI. The CLC Nursing Department will partner with WPDI and will continue to oversee Continuing Nursing Education programming. The Pharmacy Technician Program will also be administered by WPDI. The Massage Therapy certificate program will remain in the Biological and Health Sciences Division.

The Continuing Professional Development department of CLC’s Workforce and Professional Development Institute (WPDI) also offers courses in computers, project management, Lean Six Sigma, hospitality, grant writing skills, security officer basic, highway flagger, strategic sales, human resources, Spanish language and interpreter, real estate, teacher education and event planning.
