Sustainability courses offered by Continuing Professional Development
Learn practical approaches to “going green” that can potentially save your business money. The College of Lake County’s Continuing Professional Development department, in partnership with the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), will offer Green Technology courses during February, March and April at the CLC Grayslake Campus. All class fees include materials and lunch.

Discovery! classes run the gamut of topics for 50+ learners
Women in the Middle East, stress reduction and Jackie Kennedy’s reclusive relatives and are among the topics included in upcoming workshops being presented by the College of Lake County Discovery! Program. Discovery! is designed for adult learners with a young attitude, age 50 or older. Classes are held at the CLC Southlake Campus, 1120 S. Milwaukee Ave., Vernon Hills, unless noted.

CLC to receive funds for sustainability initiatives
The College of Lake County will receive funding to open centers for green job training and sustainability under a $1.7 million grant award announced Jan. 14 by Gov. Pat Quinn.

Financial management workshops offered in March and April
During a recession, it’s vital to invest wisely and manage your money knowledgeably. The Center for Personal Enrichment at the College of Lake County is offering several workshops in March with important unbiased information. The following workshops will begin in March at the Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

March 11 is the Jobapalooza for ages 15-21
Do you know someone 15 to 21 years old who needs help finding a job? The Jobapalooza Expo will be held at the College of Lake County from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 11. This Lake County job resource fair targets young adults 15-21 is designed to bring local employers together with young people who are looking for full-time, part-time or seasonal positions.
